2012 Conference Speakers:


Bernadette BradyBERNADETTE BRADY is a tutor for the MA in Cosmology and Culture at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, UK, and is reading for her doctorate at this same institution. Her astrological publications are The Eagle and the Lark (1992, republished as Predictive Astrology), Brady's Book of Fixed Stars (1998), Astrology: a Place in Chaos (2006) and Star and Planet Combinations (2008), as well as the software Jigsaw, aimed at astrological research, and Starlight, which focuses on returning the sky to astrology.

Frank CliffordFRANK CLIFFORD is an astrologer, palmist and writer who has run the LSA since 2004. He writes for The Astrological Journal (Horoscope Snapshots), The ISAR Journal (Data Compendium) and The Mountain Astrologer (Horoscope Detective). Frank's books on astrology and palmistry include Palmistry 4 Today, Solar Arc Directions and Getting to the Heart of Your Chart. A data collector, researcher and consultant, he is currently working to have birth times recorded on certificates in England. Frank's website is at www.flareuk.com

Faye CossarFAYE COSSAR has been an astrologer for personal and business clients for twenty-five years. Born in New Zealand, Faye now lives in Holland and runs the Amsterdam School of Astrology (www.asastrology.nl). She also lectures worldwide and holds an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University.


Liz GreeneDR LIZ GREENE is held in high esteem by astrologers all over the world and has been instrumental in shaping modern psychological astrology through books, the website www.astro.com, her Astro*Intelligence reports, and her school, The Centre for Psychological Astrology, founded in 1983. A prolific author, her books include Saturn, Relating, The Outer Planets & Their Cycles, The Astrology of Fate and The Astrological Neptune,
as well as published transcripts of lectures with Stephen Arroyo and Howard Sasportas.


John GreenJOHN GREEN has been involved with astrology for over twenty-five years and studied at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, where he now works as a tutor both in the UK and online. He runs an astrological consultancy in London and has previously worked as a research scientist, a web designer and a writer of both fiction and non-fiction. Mike HardingMIKE HARDING is an existential psychotherapist and consultant astrologer. He is a senior lecturer and clinical supervisor at the School of Psychotherapy & Counselling at Regent's College. He is the author of Hymns to the Ancient Gods and co-author with Charles Harvey of Working With Astrology. In 1997 he was awarded first prize in the AA's The Truth of Astrology essay competition. Mike has published papers on the philosophy of language, with particular reference to the works of Freud, Lacan, Heidegger and Wittgenstein.

Wendy StaceyWENDY STACEY is the Principal of the international Mayo School of Astrology and a tutor for the London School of Astrology. She is Chair
of the Astrological Association and writes a regular student feature in The Astrological Journal. Wendy has authored Uranus Square Pluto: New Perspectives on the Current Planetary Line Up in Mundane Astrology and Consulting With Astrology: A Quick Guide to Building Your Practice and Profile. Richard SwattonRICHARD SWATTON'S astrology education began in 1976, learning traditional, horary and occult–theosophical approaches. After this, he studied Noel Tyl's system and then trained with the Centre for Psychological Astrology, gaining its Diploma in 1994. He is now on the staff at the LSA. In the 1990s, Richard retrained as an integrative psychotherapist, working for MIND, St Thomas's Hospital and now, mostly privately, in London. His teaching stresses the importance of training the intuition, which is the subject of his new publication, From Symbol to Substance.


Sue TompkinsSUE TOMPKINS' experience teaching astrology at all levels is extensive and includes nineteen years with the FAS. In 2000 she co-founded the LSA, where she continues to teach. In 2003, she was awarded the Charles Harvey Award for exceptional service to astrology. Every spring,
Sue runs a residential course in Glastonbury. Her books, Aspects in Astrology and The Contemporary Astrologer's Handbook, continue to be best-selling astrology volumes. Sue is also a registered homeopath.
